Situated
in the heart of Constable country you will find the the old
wool town of Clare. Boasting many historical gems including
a 13th century Augustinian Priory, the stone keep ruins of
Clare Castle dating back to William the Conqueror and a Mediaeval
Town Church.
BURY
ST EDMUNDS
An old market town with markets held on Wednesday and Saturday
plus lots of other new shops. The Abbey Gardens are a delight
to walk around as is the Cathedral. The town also boasts to
have the smallest pub in the UK - The Nutshell.
DUXFORD
The
village's best-known landmark is the Imperial War Museum and
in the village there is a 14th century chapel and two historic
12th century churches plus country inns, local shops, a bank
and a hotel.
CAMBRIDGE
Well
know for its historic colleges, churches and punting on the
River Cam. Popular with visitors as there is always something
to see and do and numerous restaurants
